Nixie art clock

A Nixie tube is a cold cathode display tube, an electronic device displaying numerals through glow discharge. They were mainly used since the 50's of last century in cash registers in te 'West' and in the countries 'behind the iron curtain' in military devices. There they were mainly, but not exclusively produced in Russia and Ukraine, where they still are offered from military surplus stock. They have a high cult status among electronics enthousiast, who build clocks with them. Currently there are a couple of small manufacturers who bulid new, large tubes There are a few artists, amongst whom am I, who build them as art objects in a more sculptural way.
The Art Deco Clock (W340mm x D100mm x H190mm) clock is build with Cor Ten steel, brass, copper, polycarbonate and IN18 tubes. It comes with a proximity sensor and wifi time correction. In the images it is placed in differently styled environments.
More art clocks will follow this this year. Every clock is a unique one, only one is made.
